The Problem

Diseases such as cancer and tumors can be hard to treat. Killing them is easy, but killing only them can be a challenge. I've personally witnessed friends and family go through treatments such as chemotherapy, and have seen the damaging effects of such processes. If only there was a better way...

What are Microbubbles?

Microbubbles are a new technology that are used to dispense medication in a much more targeted way. They hold medication, and don't release it until an ultrasonic wave is emitted. This is much better than treatments such as chemotherapy, which kills not only cancer and tumors, but wreaks havoc on the entire body.

Impacts

This technology can not only improve existing medications, but could open the door to a whole new array of them. If it's possible to deliver and activate a medicine to exactly the right region, stronger and more tailored drugs could be created and used. Perhaps one day cancer will regarded as trivial, instead of the death sentence it often is today.
